Čo pre teba znamená získať ocenenie MVP?

Je pre mňa cťou získať toto ocenenie. Chcem sa poďakovať celému tímu a organizácii za dôveru a vieru, ktorú do mňa vložili.

Čo bolo podľa teba hlavným faktorom tvojich výkonov v tejto sezóne?

Za mojím úspechom túto sezónu nestáli len fanúšikovia, organizácia či samotný tím, ale najmä ofenzívna lajna. Práve oni odvádzali tú „špinavú robotu“, otvárali diery a vytvárali cesty, ktorými som mohol behať pre veľké zisky alebo touchdowny. Bez nich by sme nemali úspešnú behovú hru.

Ako by si opísal Nitra Knights ako tím?

Nitra Knights stelesňujú to, čím americký futbal naozaj je – bratstvo. Sme rodina, staráme sa jeden o druhého a bez ohľadu na to, čo sa deje na ihrisku alebo mimo neho, vieme, že sa na seba môžeme vždy spoľahnúť.

Vnímaš sa ako líder tímu?

Veľmi si vážim, že ma tím vníma ako lídra. Slovo líder má pre každého iný význam, no pre mňa znamená nielen viesť a povzbudzovať ostatných, ale aj niesť zodpovednosť za svoje činy – či už dobré, alebo zlé.
Viem, že som počas sezóny spravil viacero chýb, najmä v behovej hre. Povedal som tímu, že budem lepší, a tvrdo som na tom pracoval do konca sezóny. Som vďačný, že mi spoluhráči dôverovali aj po týchto chybách.

Aký je tvoj odkaz smerom k organizácii a fanúšikom?

Chcem sa poďakovať nielen spoluhráčom, ale aj celej organizácii a všetkým sponzorom za podporu. Stali ste sa rodinou nielen pre mňa, ale aj pre moju rodinu. Ako povedala moja manželka: „Nitra je naša druhá rodina. Naše srdcia sú v Nitre.“
Mojím cieľom je vybudovať najlepšiu behovú ofenzívu v lige, takže môžete rátať s tým, že do každého behu dám úplne všetko. Obrany to nebudú mať ľahké – nepôjdem k zemi bez boja.

A fanúšikom odkazujem: pripravte sa na ďalšiu skvelú sezónu. Prinesieme ešte viac energie na oboch stranách lopty. Zoberte so sebou rodinu, priateľov, kohokoľvek – čím viac vás bude, tým lepšie. Vašu energiu cítime a žijeme z nej.

What does winning the MVP award mean to you?

It’s an honor to receive this award. I want to thank the entire team and organization for putting their trust and faith in me.

What was the main factor behind your success this season?

The success I had this season wasn’t only because of the fans, the organization, or the team, but mostly because of the offensive line. They did the dirty work, creating holes and paths for me to run through for big gains and touchdowns. Without them, we wouldn’t have had any success in the run game.

How would you describe the Nitra Knights as a team?

The Nitra Knights embody what American football truly is – a brotherhood. We are a family. We take care of each other, and no matter what happens on or off the field, we can always count on one another when we need it.

Do you see yourself as a leader on the team?

It means a lot to me to be seen as a leader. Leadership can mean different things to different people, but to me it’s not only about leading and encouraging others, it’s also about taking responsibility for your actions, whether they are good or bad.
I know I made mistakes during the season, especially in the run game. I told my team I would be better, and I worked hard to improve for the rest of the season. I’m grateful that even after those mistakes, my teammates continued to trust me.

What message would you like to send to the organization and the fans?

I want to thank not only my teammates, but also the organization and all the sponsors for their support. You’ve become family not only to me, but to my family as well. As my wife said: “Nitra is our second family. Our hearts are in Nitra.”
One of my goals is to build the top rushing offense in the league, so you can be sure I’ll be running the ball with everything I have. Defenses won’t have an easy time bringing me down.
